ASI S1 Source Handler
Army ASI S1 - Source Handler is an intelligence position; Soldiers awarded ASI S1 conduct Category 2 Military Source Operations (MSO) and collect positive intelligence information on hostile elements and activities that may pose a threat to friendly forces deployed to a theater of operations. Soldiers with ASI S1 must successfully complete either the Source Operations Course conducted at the Human Intelligence (HUMINT) Training Joint Center of Excellence (HT-JCOE), or the Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Counterintelligence/Human Intelligence (CI/HUMINT) Course conducted under the auspices of the US Marine Corps. ASI S1 is open to CMF 18 and CMF 35 MOS (skill level 2-5), plus MOS 35M (SGT-SFC). For more information on ASI S1, see this Army website.
