Snapshot Pages

Snapshot Pages

For all items on this page, refer to the handy diagram to the right.

Snapshot pages can be found when clicking on the name of a credential after performing an initial search (see the Summary Page descriptions for more on navigating this other page type).

A snapshot is meant to provide quick, at a glance views of what the credential requires.

1. Credential Overview

The top of the page contains the name of the credential, a quick description, and the name of the agency that offers it.

2. Snapshot Detail

In the large section below the overview, is a section of the page divided into up to six subtabs. Each snapshot may not have all of the subtabs, however, the purpose of each of the tabs, when they appear, is consistent and described below.

A. Related Occupations

This section is an alternate way to look at information presented on a standard Summary page, the difference being that this is taking into account the credential first, instead of an MOS, for example. This section contains a sortable table that will let you explore the credential and its alignment with Army occupations in more detail.

B. Summary

The Summary subtab gives a high-level view of minimum requirements—from the standpoint of both eligibility based on experience and from exam requirements—as well as information on recertification. It also lists the certifying agency’s contact information.

C. Eligibility

This tab offers a detailed view of prerequisite requirements, training requirements, military-specific requirements, and other requirements that credentials may have. These could be duration of experience, time since last performing the duties needed for the credential, or requirements of other companion certifications.

D. Exam

This tab describes the types of exams that may be necessary to achieve certification. Some may only require a written exam while others may also require a practical exam involving other tests of skill and proof of aptitude in the subject area. Helpful information regarding exam preparation and testing may also appear here.

E. Recertification

If recertification is offered or required, information on the renewal period and considerations related to required recertification are listed here.

F. Additional Considerations

This section, offers final thoughts and important caveats to attaining certification, if relevant.
